Guidelines for The Developing of Digital Leadership for School Administrators Under the Office of the Khon Kaen Primary Educational Area 2

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) examine the current condition, desired condition, and priority needs regarding the digital leadership of school administrators under the Office of the Khon Kaen Primary Educational Area 2; and 2) investigate guidelines for developing the digital leadership of said administrators. The research methodology involved a sample group of 327 school administrators and teachers affiliated with the Office of the Khon Kaen Primary Educational Area 2, selected via stratified random sampling. The research instruments employed included a 48-item five-point rating scale questionnaire exhibiting discrimination indices ranging from 0.40 to 0.81 and a reliability coefficient of 0.93, alongside a semi-structured interview guide and an assessment form for appropriateness and feasibility. Data analysis utilized percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings indicated that: 1. The overall current condition of digital leadership among school administrators was at a high level, whereas the overall desired condition was at the highest level. Regarding priority needs for digital leadership, the most critical areas, ranked in descending order, were: creating a culture of learning and working in the digital world, digital literacy, and developing professional digital skills for personnel.
2. The development guidelines comprised six components of digital leadership: 1) digital vision, 2) digital communication, 3) digital literacy, 4) developing professional digital skills for personnel, 5) creating a culture of learning and working in the digital world, and 6) digital citizenship. These components collectively consisted of 18 specific guidelines. Furthermore, the assessment of appropriateness and feasibility was at the highest level.
