Developing the guidance management guidelines for schools under the office of secondary educational service area 20

Abstract

This research purposes were: 1) to study elements and indicators of guidance management guidance for schools under the office of secondary educational service area 20; 2) to study the present and desirable conditions of management guidance for schools under the office of secondary educational service area 20; and 3) to study the development of guidance management guidelines for schools under the office of secondary educational service area 20. The sample group were guidance teachers in schools under the office of secondary education service area 20 for 134 persons with stratifield sampling.The experts assessed the appropriateness of the components, indicators, and guiding principles of 10 persons.The instruments used for this study were 5-level rating scale questionnaire,structured interview form,suitability and feasibility assessment form. The statistics used for data analysis were mean and standard deviation.

The research results were as followed: 1) There were five elements and twenty six indicators of guidance management for schools under the office of secondary educational service area 20. 2) The present condition of guidance management for schools under the office of secondary educational service area 20 as a whole was at moderate level as well as each aspect. The desirable condition of guidance management for schools under the office of secondary educational service area 20 as a whole was at the highest level as well as each aspect. 3) The assessment on suitability and feasibility of the guidance management guidelines for schools under the office of secondary educational service area 20 in 5 aspects and 61 guidelines as a whole were both at the highest levels as well as each aspect.
