Developing of the Health School Operating Guidelines under Udon Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to 1) study the factors and indicators of the health school 2) study the present conditions and desirable conditions of the health school 3) develop the guidelines of the health school operating under Udon Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1. The samples were 306 school administrators and teachers, using stratified random sampling. Instruments used were assessment factors and indicators, questionnaire, interview form and assessment guidelines. Data were analyzed using mean, standard devitation and modified priority needs index.

Research findings were as follows: 1. There were 5 factors and 14 indicators consisted of 1) Wellbeing of a student 6 indicators 2) Happiness of School 3 indicators 3) Impact on the environment 1 indicators 4) Harmony of the family 3 indicators and 5) Care in the community 1 indicators. 2. The present conditions of the health school overall at a high level, considering each factor, overall at a high level (x̄ = 3.68), Wellbeing of a student was the highest (x̄ = 3.86), Impact on the environment and Harmony of the family were the lowest (x̄ = 3.62). In desirable conditions of the health school overall at a highest level (x̄ = 4.68), considering each factor, Wellbeing of a student was the highest (x̄ = 4.76), Impact on the environment and Harmony of the family were the lowest (x̄ = 4.63). 3. The guidelines of the health school operating under Udon Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1, Wellbeing of a student consisted of 7 guidelines 2) Happiness of School consisted of 6 guidelines 3) Impact on the environment consisted of 6 guidelines 4) Harmony of the family consisted of 6 guidelines and 5) Care in the community consisted of 6 guidelines.
