Leadership Development Strategy for the Deputy Directors at the office of Primary Educational Service Areas in the Northeastern Region

Abstract

This study aims to study the components of Leadership Development Strategy, Building the leadership strategy, and inspect the appropriate of the possibility to bring it to practice for the Deputy Directors at the office Primary Educational Service Areas in the Northeastern Region. The study was divided into 2 sessions, first session, reviewing and drafting the strategies session consisted of review of previous study/literatures, consulting the experts. Second session, the evaluation of the strategies consisted of focus group, and critiques. Procedures and research instruments for data collection are interview guide, questionnaires, and the focus group recording form. Qualitative data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and the qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis.

The result of the study indicated that;1. The components that necessary for leadership development strategy for the Deputy Directors at the office Primary Educational Service Areas overall is in high rank. The component can be orders according to the importance are the role of leader, leader behavior, and leader characteristics, respectively.

2. Leadership Development Strategy consisted of vision, mission, goals, and the development strategies for each component. 

3. Leadership Development Strategy that has been developed from this research is appropriate and possible to bring it to practice at high level. Keywords: Administrative model for prototype kindergarten schools
