Development of Knowledge Management Program for Leaders of Self-Reliant Learning Center based on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy

Abstract

        The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the situation, problem, and need before providing the knowledge management for Self-reliant Leaders based on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, 2) to construct and develop the Knowledge Management Program for Self-reliant Leaders based on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, 3) to study the effect of usage in Knowledge Management Program for Self-reliant Leaders based on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, and 4) to evaluate the usage findings of the Knowledge Management Program for Self-reliant Leaders based on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, The target group consisted of 26 farmer families working in their own farm plot and garden. They volunteered to participate in the project including: (1) 10 families of Wangjan Community, Naka Sub-district, Wapi Pathum District, Maha Sarakam Province, (2) 10 families of Nongwang Community, and Kambonwiengchai Community, Nongwieng Dub-district, Banpeau District, Udontani Province, and 6 families of Komkam Community, Nongplapak Sub-district, Srichiengmasi District, Nongkai Province. The research methodology was Research and Development using 6 steps of learning by doing.


        The research instruments were: 1) the instruments using for work development including: (1) the training schedule for 3 nights, 4 days. The Knowledge Management Program consisted of Knowledge Part including the Knowledge Management, Leadership, and Self-Sufficiency Economy, and the Practice Part including the Quality of Life Developmental Plan, Individual Household Account, Compost Production, Fish Food Production by using the Red Maliophaga, growing Wild Meliantha Sauvis, and Learning Center Management, and the Affective Part including the Feeling, Interest, and Application, (2) the Handbook for developing the Knowledge Management for Leaders of Self-reliant Learning Center based on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, and 2) the instruments using for data collection including: (1) the Achievement Test with item difficulty between .55-.81, Item discrimination between .24-.81, and Reliability values of total issue = .86, (2) The Behavioral Evaluation Form of Knowledge Management Program for Leaders of Self-reliant Center, (3) The After Action Record (AAR), and (4) The Questionnaire of Satisfaction in Seminar Training of Knowledge Management Program for Leaders of Self-reliant Learning Center by using the t-test cutting point, the item discrimination values were ranged between 2.30-7.00, The Reliability value of total issue was = .93, and (5) The Indicator of Success in Knowledge Management Program Self-reliant Development the Reliability value of total issue was = .97. The statistic included the Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, and Effectiveness Index..The research findings were as follows: 1) the farmers owned their land for earning their living, but they had debt. They didn’t record knowledge they had learned from practicing an transferring. They had their need to decrease their expenditure, and increase their income, and to be knowledge managers for self-reliant leaders in family and community levels, 2) the evaluative findings from both of the training schedule and handbook for developing the knowledge manager as leaders of Self-reliant Learning Center based on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy by the experts, found that they consisted of Propriety, Feasibility, and Utility in the “Highest” level, and the Accuracy was in “High” level, 3) the findings of program development, in overall, the efficiency of program per the efficiency of outcome, was 86.59/80.75 as the specified criterion, 4) the effectiveness index of knowledge management program for Leaders of Self-reliant Learning Center, their knowledge was increased for 67.45%, 5) the self-reliant knowledge manager for leaders of Self-reliant Learning Center, had satisfaction on the seminar training, in overall, in “High” level, and 6) in overall, after implementation based on the indicators of success in Leaders of Self-reliant Learning Center in each family, there were significant differences in implementation at .01 significant level.
