Administrator’s competency of school administrators Under the Provincial Administration Organization of Sisaket

Abstract

This study aimed: 1) to study the level of administrative competencies of school administrators, 2) to compare opinions of school administrators and teachers on the educational competency of school administrators classified by position, educational background and work experience, and 3) study the guidelines for the development of administrative competencies. The sample used in the study consisted of school administrators and teachers a total of 285 people were randomly selected by Sisaket Provincial Administrative Organization. The instrument used in the study the administrative competency questionnaire of school administrators. The basic statistics used for analyzing the collected data were percentage, means and standard deviation; and the statistic used for testing Hypotheses were t-test (Independent samples) and F-test.   

         The results of the study were as follows:

        1. The results of the educational administrator competency of the school administrators at a high level both in the whole and in all aspects in descending order, which is affairs and student activities, professional development, education quality assurance, moral,
ethics and code of ethics, school management, curriculum teaching measurement and evaluation and academic leadership respectively. 

        2. The comparison of opinions about the administrative competency of the school administrators. Classified by position, educational background and work experience the overall difference is statistically significant at the level of 0.05.

        3. The guidelines for the development of the administrative competency of the school administrators can conclude that the school administrators must develop professional Study government policy Related agencies to set policies Educational development planning Organize the organization appropriately for operations. Manage courses and strategies in learning management to meet the needs of learners Use the educational quality assurance system to supervise and monitor the operation of the school. Act in accordance with professional ethics.
