Developing Teacher Development Program for Student Centered Instructional and Authentic Assessment of Thetsaban Thatum School, Thatum District Surin Province

Abstract
This research aimed 1) to study elements of student centered instructional and authentic assessment 2) to study the current and desired situations of student centered instructional and authentic assessment of Thetsaban Thatum school 3) to investigate methods to develop student centered instructional and authentic assessment 4) to develop a teacher development program for student centered instructional and authentic assessment 5) tryout a teacher development program for student centered instructional and authentic assessment. Collected data from 60 persons included administrators, teachers and education board of Thetsaban Thatum school. Key performances were 7 luminaries and 12 persons inclued administrators and teachers of 3 pilot schools. Research instrument were questionnaires, assessment form, interview form, and focus group recording form. Used descriptive statistics for analys data. The result of the research were found: 1. The elements of student centered instructional and authentic assessment included 11 elements with program’s suitability assessed by 7 luminies overall were at highest level. 2. Thetsaban Thatum school has current situations of student centered instructional and authentic assessment overall was at high level and desired situation overall was at highest level. 3. Student centered instructional and authentic assessment methods from 3 pilot schools study were training, workshop, study visit, self-study, teamwork, participation, internal supervision and practice. 4. Teacher development program for student centered instructional and authentic assessment included 10 elements as follow 1) rationale and reason 2) program objectives 3) program structure 4) program implementation time 5) qualifications of program participants 6) program content 7) documents and media used 8) program activities 9) activity methodology 10) evaluation. The results of program suitability assessed overall was at high level and possibility assessed overall was at highest level. 5. The result of program tryout at Thetsaban Thatum school were found: program’s suitability assessed overall was at high level, usefulness assessed overall was at high level and persons of tryout school were satisfaction to the program were at high level.
