Service Learning and Development of Pre-Service Teachers

Abstract
This article aims to present the concept and application of service learning that to improve the characteristics of pre-service teachers. The authors aim to present the teaching and learning method by using service learning that students can use knowledge and skill academically. The relevant information, namely learning in the transformational age, service learning and pre-service teachers, and example of service learning through learning course.
This article helps readers understand the concept of teacher professional development through collaboration with the community, learning from practices, and its application into teacher education.
