Development of the Guidelines for the Internal Quality Assurance Implementation of Small-Sized Schools under Kanchanaburi Pro- vincial Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 1) to study the internal quality assurance implementation of small-sized schools under Kanchanaburi Provincial Primary Educational Service Area Office 3; and 2) to propose the guidelines for the internal quality assurance implementation of small-sized schools under Kanchanaburi Provincial Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. The population were 201 of the administrators and the teachers in small-sized schools under Kanchanaburi Provincial Primary Educational Service Area Office

3. The sample size which was determined using the ready-made tables of Crazy and Morgan comprised 132 subjects. The research instruments used in this study were the questionnaire of the internal quality assurance implementation and the interview form of the development of the guidelines for the internal quality assurance implementation. The statistics used to analyze the data consisted of Percentile, Means and Standard Deviation.

The results were as follows: 1) The level of the internal quality assurance implementation in the small-sized schools had implemented an internal quality assurance system of small-sized schools within seven aspects with the average of a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest level of implementation was Self-Assessment Report (SAR), followed by the development of schools with quality, efficiency and continuous development; the evaluation and assessment of internal educational quality; the preparation of educational development plans for schools; the implementation of educational development plan of schools; the determination of educational standards of schools in accordance with the requirements for educational standards; and the follow-up to the implementation to develop schools meeting the requirements for educational standards, respectively; and 2) According to the development of the guidelines for the internal quality assurance implementation of the small-sized schools, there were seven aspects together with seven guidelines developed.
