Theme: Modern Education and Social Dynamics: Internationalization, Technology, and Community Development

This issue explores the interconnected landscapes of contemporary higher education and changing social structures, with a particular focus on Thailand as a dynamic regional hub. As educational institutions globally adapt to digital transformations and shifting student demographics, this collection of research offers critical insights into how academic environments, cultural transitions, and social factors influence one another.

The articles in this issue are organized around three pivotal dimensions:

  • Internationalization and Cross-Cultural Experiences: Highlighting the wave of educational migration, several studies investigate the motivations, socio-cultural adjustments, language anxieties, and daily lived experiences of international students—particularly Chinese scholars—transitioning into Thai higher education.

  • Technological Integration and Innovative Learning: Contributors examine the structural shifts in modern administration and pedagogy, exploring the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Learning Management Systems (LMS) and the role of international service learning in fostering sustainable communities and quality education.

  • Local Social Dynamics and Consumer Lifestyles: Beyond the classroom, this issue captures evolving societal trends within Thailand, from the shifting real estate preferences and social media habits of an aging population to the specific lifestyle and dietary behaviors of postgraduate student communities.

Together, these papers provide educators, policymakers, and sociologists with a multi-faceted understanding of how modern education shapes—and is shaped by—regional internationalization, technological progress, and community dynamics.
