Ethics

The Journal of Creative Local Arts and Culture is committed to maintaining strict academic standards and publishing ethics to ensure a transparent, fair, and high-quality process for the review and dissemination of academic works. To this end, the journal has established ethical guidelines for publication, adhering to the guidelines of the International Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the standards of the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI). To ensure compliance with these academic standards, the journal has defined the roles, duties, and responsibilities of all involved parties: editors, reviewers, and authors, to serve as a shared guideline.

Duties of Editors

Quality and Consistency Assessment: Editors are responsible for assessing the quality of articles, verifying their alignment with the journal's policies and scope (Aims and Scope), and rigorously checking for plagiarism before submitting them to expert reviewers.
Fairness and Impartiality: Editors must evaluate and select articles for publication based primarily on academic accuracy, originality, and research methodology, free from bias stemming from the author's race, religion, gender, or political beliefs.
Confidentiality Editors must strictly maintain the confidentiality of author and reviewer information according to the double-blind peer review system and must not use the content or information of the article for personal gain before the article is published.

Duties of Reviewers

Expertise and Punctuality: Reviewers should only accept articles for review that match their expertise and must complete the review within the timeframe set by the journal. If they are unable to review or submit the results on time, they must notify the editor immediately.
Neutrality and Constructive Suggestion: Reviewers must consider articles neutrally, without personal bias, and provide useful and clear suggestions for the author to improve their work. They should always support their opinions with academic reasons or evidence.

Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must not disclose information or the content of the article under review to anyone else, must not use the information for personal gain, and must immediately notify the editor of any potential conflict of interest with the author or related organization if they find any conflict of interest with the author or related organization.

Duties of Authors

Originality and Non-Plaquement: Submitted articles must be original works. (Originality) The work must not have been previously published elsewhere, must not be under consideration by another journal, and must not contain plagiarism, including copying one's own work without permission or attribution.
Accuracy and Citations: Authors must present data and research results truthfully, without distortion or creation of false data (Data Fabrication/Falsification). When using the work or text of others, proper and complete attribution must be provided according to the journal's format.
Authorization: All listed authors must have genuinely contributed to the research or writing of the article. Consent must be obtained from all co-authors before submission, and funding sources (if any) must be disclosed, along with any potential conflicts of interest.
